The pericallosal cistern is an enlargement of the subarachnoid space on the surface of the corpus callosum.
Anatomy
The pericallosal cistern courses along the surface of the corpus callosum and, in the dorsal region, along the inferior margin of the Falx cerebri. The pericallosal cistern lies adjacent to the Quadrigeminal cistern and the Lamina terminalis cistern. The Pericallosal arteries and pericallosal veins course within the pericallosal cistern[^1].
