Quadrigeminal cistern

The quadrigeminal cistern is an enlargement of the subarachnoid space that surrounds the quadrigeminal plate.

Anatomy

The Vein of Galen, the origin of the Trochlear nerve, and the Pineal gland[^1] course within the quadrigeminal cistern. Adjacent to the quadrigeminal cistern are the Superior cerebellar cistern, the Ambient cistern, and the Pericallosal cistern[^1].
