Synonyms: Interpeduncular cistern

The cisterna interpeduncularis is a Cerebrospinal fluid-filled Cistern located at the Midbrain in the region of the crura cerebri.

Terminology

The cisterna interpeduncularis and Chiasmatic cistern are collectively referred to as the cisterna basalis.
