Sella turcica

The sella turcica is located in the middle cranial fossa and contains the Pituitary fossa, in which the Pituitary gland is located. Pituitary adenomas tend to enlarge the sella turcica[^1].

Anatomy

Anteriorly, the sella turcica is bounded by the Tuberculum sellae and posteriorly by the Dorsum sellae. The sella turcica is covered by the Diaphragma sellae.
