The meningohypophyseal trunk is an arterial branch of the internal carotid artery in the cavernous (C4) segment. Due to its small size, the meningohypophyseal trunk is not consistently visualized on angiography.
Supply
The branches of the meningohypophyseal trunk supply parts of the pituitary gland, tentorium, and the dura mater of the clivus.
