Huber maneuver

The Huber maneuver is used for better angiographic visualization of a carotid-cavernous fistula. In this procedure, contrast medium is injected into the vertebral artery and the ipsilateral common carotid artery is compressed, resulting in better visualization of the carotid-cavernous fistula1. The Huber maneuver can only be performed if the posterior communicating artery is present and well developed.
