CRASH 3 Trial

The CRASH 3 Trial was published in 2019[^1] and demonstrated that Tranexamic acid can be administered to patients with a Traumatic brain injury with few adverse effects.

Interpretation by the authors

Our results show that tranexamic acid is safe in patients with TBI and that treatment within 3 h of injury reduces head injury-related death. Patients should be treated as soon as possible after injury[^1].
