Cingulate sulcus

Last edit by Alaric Steinmetz on

The cingulate sulcus is a sulcus of the brain.

Anatomy

The cingulate sulcus runs directly above the cingulate gyrus. Its anterior portion, located below the superior frontal gyrus, is called the pars subfrontalis. The posterior portion, the marginal ramus, curves to the crest of the mantle and forms the posterior boundary of the paracentral lobule[^1]. Anterior to the end of the cingulate sulcus is next the central sulcus.
