Spondylolisthesis (vertebral slippage) is a spinal instability in which the upper part of the spine, together with the slipped vertebra, glides ventrally over the underlying vertebral body.

Classification

Radiographic grading is generally performed according to the Meyerding classification. Etiologically, spondylolisthesis can be classified according to the Wiltse classification.
