Neo-Dura

Neo-Dura refers to a layer that is similar to the dura mater and forms after a surgical procedure in place of the dura when the dura is not closed in its original form. For example, after a decompressive hemicraniectomy, a Neo-Dura forms above the brain due to the absence of dural closure.
