Intranidal Aneurysm

Last edit by Alaric Steinmetz on

An intranidal aneurysm is an Aneurysm located in the nidus of an AVM. The presence of an intranidal aneurysm increases the risk of hemorrhage from an AVM[^1].

Imaging

The gold standard for evaluating an AVM and an associated intranidal aneurysm is digital subtraction angiography (DSA). Characteristically, an intranidal aneurysm fills early on DSA[^1].
