Hyposmia

Hyposmia is defined as a pathological reduction in the sense of smell. In contrast to anosmia, however, some sense of smell is still present. Hyposmia may have many different causes1; in neurosurgery, injury to the olfactory nerve as a result of trauma or compression caused by a tumor are particularly relevant causes.
