The Apertura mediana ventriculi quarti is the caudally located median opening of the fourth ventricle.

Anatomy

The Apertura mediana ventriculi quarti opens into the cerebellomedullary cistern of the subarachnoid space. Together with the two Foramina of Luschka, the Foramen Magendii enables communication between the cerebral ventricles and the subarachnoid space.
