The Sindou classification was published in 2006[^1] and is used to classify meningiomas with respect to the superior sagittal sinus.

I | Adjacent to the lateral wall of the superior sagittal sinus |
II | Invasion of the lateral recess of the superior sagittal sinus |
III | Invasion of the lateral wall of the superior sagittal sinus |
IV | Invasion of the lateral wall and roof of the superior sagittal sinus |
V | Complete occlusion of the superior sagittal sinus, the contralateral sinus wall is not affected |
VI | Complete occlusion of the superior sagittal sinus with ipsilateral and contralateral involvement of the sinus wall. |
