Tragus

The tragus is an important anatomical landmark in neurosurgery.

Anatomy

The tragus is a rounded prominence located lateral and rostral to the concha auricularis that obstructs the vertical entrance to the External acoustic meatus, thereby providing protection against the entry of foreign bodies.
