Unlike a true aneurysm, a pseudoaneurysm is not an outpouching of the vessel wall but a hematoma that communicates with the artery1.
Etiology
A pseudoaneurysm may arise, for example, as a result of trauma2 or iatrogenically due to vascular puncture, such as during angiography 3.
