Multifocal Glioblastoma

Synonyms
Multifokales GBM

A multifocal glioblastoma is defined as a glioblastoma that exhibits multiple foci in the brain; depending on the distribution of the foci, this may significantly complicate or even make surgical resection impossible. Patients with newly diagnosed multifocal glioblastoma have a significantly poorer survival rate than patients with a focal, solitary glioblastoma1.
