Synonyms: Lumbal plexus

The lumbar plexus is a nerve plexus formed by the anterior rami of the spinal nerves of segments L1 to L3. It also contains contributions from the spinal nerves T12 and L4. Together with the sacral plexus, the lumbar plexus forms the nerves of the pelvis and legs. Together with the latter, it is also referred to as the lumbosacral plexus.
