The lingual gyrus is a gyrus in the occipital lobe and is supplied by branches of the posterior cerebral artery.
Anatomy
The lingual gyrus is optimally visualized in the midsagittal section of the of the brain. It forms the occipital pole of the brain and continues anteriorly into the parahippocampal gyrus[^1].
