Gyrus rectus

The gyrus rectus is a straight-running cerebral convolution present in both hemispheres, located in the basal part of the frontal lobe.

Function

The function of the gyrus rectus has not yet been fully elucidated.

Clinical relevance

Data from unilateral resections of the gyrus rectus have shown that unilateral resection of the gyrus rectus does not result in any impairment in patients[^1].
