Frontotemporale

The frontotemporale is an anatomical landmark used for orientation during a craniotomy. It is the bony prominence at the base of the zygomatic process of the frontal bone.

Definition

By definition, the frontotemporale is the point at which the diameter of the frontal bone is narrowest. The superior temporal line begins at this point.
