The Fissura cerebellomesencephalica is referred to in the literature as the cerebellomesencephalic fissure and runs between the Cerebellum and Mesencephalon.
Anatomy
The Fissura cerebellomesencephalica runs caudally between the midbrain and the cerebellum and has a V-shape when viewed from above. The ventral wall of this fissure, which forms the external surface of the upper part of the roof of the fourth ventricle, is composed of the lingula of the vermis, the dorsal surface of the superior cerebellar peduncles, and the rostral surface of the middle cerebellar peduncles. The dorsal wall of the fissure is formed by the anterior surface of the culmen and central lobule in the midline, and by the quadrangular lobule and the wing of the central lobule laterally[^1].
