Falx meningiomas are meningiomas that arise from the Falx cerebri.

Definition

According to Cushing's definition, falx meningiomas are completely covered by the overlying cerebral cortex and do not involve the Sinus sagittalis superior[^1].

Epidemiology

Falx meningiomas account for approximately 9 % of all intracranial meningiomas[^2].
