The Dolenc triangle is an anatomically defined triangle at the Skull base.

Anatomy

The Dolenc triangle is bounded by the Optic nerve, Oculomotor nerve, and the edge of the tentorium. The clinoidal segment of the Internal carotid artery and the Anterior clinoid process are located within the space bounded by these structures[^1].

Clinical relevance

Microsurgical treatment of most proximal ICA, paraclinoid, infraclinoid, and ophthalmic Aneurysms requires opening this triangular space through partial removal of the anterior clinoid process[^2].
