Chondroma

A chondroma is a benign, slow-growing tumor composed of cartilage tissue. Chondromas are extremely rare in the skull and account for approximately 0,2 % - 0,3 % of all primary intracranial tumors[^1]. Intracranial chondromas typically arise in the region of the synchondroses at the skull base; however, in rarer cases, they may also originate from the dura, the inner surface of the ventricular system, or the brain parenchyma without connection to the dura[^1].
