Synonyms: Bridging vein

Bridging veins arise from the superficial cerebral veins, course subdurally, and drain into the Superior sagittal sinus[^1].

Clinical relevance

Injury to bridging veins can lead to a subdural hematoma. Thrombosis of a bridging vein, on the other hand, can lead to a Congestive hemorrhage .
