The Pang classification was published in 1992[^1] [^2] and is used to classify a diastematomyelia .
Type
Description
Type I
Each hemicord is enclosed in its own dural tube, with a bony or cartilaginous septum.
Type II
Both hemicords are in a common dural tube and are separated by a fibrous septum.
