The Pang classification was published in 1992[^1] [^2] and is used to classify Diastematomyelia .

Type | Description |
Type I | Each hemicord is enclosed in its own dural sac, with an osseous or cartilaginous septum. |
Type II | Both hemicords are contained within a common dural sac and are separated by a fibrous septum. |
