Polaris Sophysa® Shunt System

The Polaris® Shunt System is distributed by Sophysa and is an adjustable shunt valve compatible with MRI up to 3 Tesla[^1]. The Polaris® shunt valve can be used in conjunction with the SiphonX® gravitational unit, which additionally provides 200mmH20 in the vertical position as protection against overdrainage.

In the standard model (SPV), the Polaris® shunt valve has an adjustable pressure setting ranging from 30-200mmHg, and there are three additional models that can be distinguished on radiographs by a marker and offer further pressure setting options.
