The STICH I Trial[^1] was published in 2005. The study concluded that patients with spontaneous supratentorial [intracerebral hemorrhage](\/lexikon\/intrazerebralblutung-icb) derive no benefit from early neurosurgical hematoma evacuation compared with conservative treatment.
