The results of the MISTIE III study were published in 2019[^1]. This study investigated whether patients with a supratentorial intracerebral hemorrhage benefit from minimally invasive catheter-based hematoma evacuation followed by thrombolysis.
Study Results
The study found no better functional outcome at one year among patients in the MISTIE group[^1].
Authors’ Interpretation
For moderate to large intracerebral hemorrhage, MISTIE did not improve the proportion of patients who achieved a good response 365 days after intracerebral hemorrhage. The procedure was safely adopted by our sample of surgeons.[^1]
