Wackenheim line

The Wackenheim line is a radiographic line that continues the course of the Clivus[^1]. If the clivus is concave or convex, the line is drawn from the Basion to the base of the Posterior clinoid process on the clivus[^1].

Clinical relevance

The Wackenheim line can be used for assessment in basilar invagination. The dens should be located tangentially to or below the Wackenheim line[^1].
