Unlike aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), traumatic SAHs generally have an uncomplicated course and result from trauma.

Treatment

Isolated traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhages do not normally require acute surgical intervention. Over the course, posttraumatic hydrocephalus may develop1 2.
