T1 sequence (MRI)

On T1 MRI sequences, tissues with short T1 relaxation times (e.g., fat, structures following contrast enhancement) have high signal intensity and appear bright. Conversely, substances with long T1 relaxation times (e.g., water, Cerebrospinal fluid) have low signal intensity.
