Suboccipital nerve

The suboccipital nerve is the dorsal ramus of the first Spinal nerves

Innervation

The suboccipital nerve is a purely motor nerve and supplies the Musculi suboccipitales

The suboccipital nerve also gives branches to the Musculus semispinalis capitis and the Musculus longissimus capitis.
