Synonyms: Spot Zeichen

The Spot sign is a radiological sign in intracerebral hemorrhages in a CT angiography. In this situation, contrast medium extravasation occurs from the vessel in the area of the bleeding.

Interpretation

The presence of a Spot sign in imaging prior to hematoma evacuation is associated with increased intraoperative bleeding, higher postoperative rebleeding, as well as larger residual hematoma findings after surgical hematoma evacuation[^1].
