The Sagittal Vertical Axis (SVA) is a parameter used to determine Sagittal balance. To calculate the value, a vertical line is drawn from the 7th cervical vertebra to the level of the 1st sacral vertebra. This line is connected to the posterior edge of the superior endplate of the 1st sacral vertebral body.
