The planum sphenoidale is the flat, bony connecting structure between the two lesser wings of the sphenoid bone (Alae minores ossis sphenoidalis), immediately anterior to the Sella turcica.
Anatomy
The planum sphenoidale forms part of the floor of the anterior cranial fossa.
