Pituitary carcinomas are extremely rare carcinomas[^1]. Pituitary carcinomas are usually invasive and secretory, with ACTH-secreting tumors and prolactinomas being the most common. Pituitary carcinomas can metastasize, and from that point onward they have a poor prognosis, with a 1-year mortality of approximately 66%[^2].
Treatment
Only limited treatment success is achieved with further surgery, radiation therapy, or chemotherapy[^2].
