The clinical condition of myelopathy refers to damage to the spinal cord.

Etiology

In neurosurgery, relevant causes of myelopathy include, in particular, spinal cord compression or circulatory disorders.

Imaging

MRI examination is considered the gold standard for diagnosing myelopathy, in which myelopathy appears as a hyperintense T2 signal.
