Martin-Gruber anastomosis

The Martin-Gruber anastomosis is a common anatomical variant of the peripheral nervous system in the forearm. It is an anastomosis in which nerve fibers run from the Median nerve to the Ulnar nerve[^1].

Clinical relevance

Knowledge of the Martin-Gruber anastomosis is essential for interpreting electrophysiological studies (NLG\/EMG)[^2].
