Habenular commissure

The habenular commissure is a commissure in the region of the epithalamus in the Diencephalon[^1].

Anatomy

The habenular commissure is located at the posterior end of the third ventricle, superior to the Recessus pinealis. The habenular commissure connects the habenular nuclei on both sides with each other, as well as with the pineal gland and the Thalamus.

Function

The habenular commissure primarily relays information from olfactory areas.
