The term dysphasia is defined as a language disorder resulting from brain damage1. The term dysphasia alone does not provide any indication of the precise pathophysiology, form, or severity of the language disorder. A common cause of dysphasia is focal cerebral events, such as an intracerebral hemorrhage or cerebral ischemia.
