Charcot Bouchard aneurysm

Last edit by Alaric Steinmetz on

Charcot Bouchard aneurysms refer to small aneurysms in the lenticulostriate arteries. These aneurysms have a diameter of less than 300 micrometers and are therefore also referred to as microaneurysms[^1].

Clinical Relevance

A rupture of these aneurysms is often the cause of an intracerebral hemorrhage.
