Cerebritis

Cerebritis refers to inflammation of the brain tissue caused by bacteria or fungi. Cerebritis may progress to form a brain abscess. The term cerebritis is used for inflammation caused by bacteria or fungi, whereas the term encephalitis is used for viral inflammation or autoimmune or paraneoplastic processes of the brain1.
