The cerebellothalamic tract (CTT) is the largest efferent pathway of the cerebellum. Its fibers predominantly originate in the dentate nucleus and project to the contralateral thalamus.
Anatomy
The fibers of the cerebellothalamic tract pass through the superior cerebellar peduncle. The main mass of the cerebellothalamic tract is formed by the dentatothalamic tract, which originates from the dentate nucleus, the largest nucleus of the cerebellum.
Clinical Relevance
Lesions in the cerebellothalamic tract have been described in the literature for the treatment of tremor[^1].
