Bradyphrenia refers to the slowing of mental functions in the context of organic brain processes. Thought content is not impaired, which is why it is also referred to as pseudodementia. It occurs, among other conditions, in patients with dementia, Parkinson’s disease, depression, or Normal pressure hydrocephalus.
