Allodynia is defined as the experience of pain in response to a nonpainful stimulus[^1].
Clinical presentation
The pain is triggered by minimal physiological stimuli that would not cause pain in a normal, healthy person. For example, a simple touch may be sufficient to elicit a painful sensation in patients with allodynia.
