Intracerebral Hemorrhage Volume Calculator for CT

Last edit by Alaric Steinmetz on

Hemorrhage volume
0.0cm³
Anterior-posterior diameter

Maximum anterior-posterior diameter of the hemorrhage in mm.

Medio-lateral diameter

Maximum medio-lateral diameter of the hemorrhage in mm.

Number of slices

Absolute number of slices on the CT or MRI.

Slice thickness in mm

Thickness of a single slice in mm.

Ellipsoid calculation of hemorrhage volume

The volume of an intracerebral hemorrhage can be calculated using the simple ellipsoid approximation formula (A x B x C) / 2 when precise volumetry with specialized software is not possible1. Where A is the greatest anterior-posterior diameter, B the greatest medio-lateral diameter and C the height on the CT or MRI image.
