Spitz-Holter Shunt Valve

The Spitz-Holter shunt valve was developed in 1956 and is a non-programmable shunt valve[^1].

Historical background

Spitz-Holter shunt valves were regularly implanted in the past; however, they have now been replaced by newer and more modern shunt valves. The valve pressure setting cannot be determined from an X-ray image of Spitz-Holter shunt valves, and they are non-programmable shunt valves[^2].
