A vertebral hemangioma is a benign vascular tumor of bone characterized by a proliferation of blood vessels within the cancellous bone of the vertebral body. It is the most common benign tumor of the spine and is usually discovered as an incidental finding on imaging.

The prevalence is approximately 10–12% of the population in autopsy and MRI studies[^1].
